How to install the Printing surface assembly and flexible buildplate (Omega I60)

This article provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Printing surface assembly and flexible build plate. The flexible buildplate provides a better adhesion and improves releasing parts more easily.

The assembly of the Printing surface assembly consists of two parts: a magnetic sheet and a flexible PEI sheet. The latter is the only one that needs to be removed after finishing the print.

 To install the Printing surface assembly, first open the side clips on the printing platform.

Then, insert the Printing surface assembly into the back clips, making sure it is all the way in.

Close the side clips to secure the Printing surface assembly making sure that it is correctly aligned.

From now on, you only need to remove the flexible sheet when you have finished printing. To remove, simply lift the flexible sheet by the tabs.

Once the printed model is removed, install it back again centering it with the alignment corners.
