BCN3D Stratos Introduction
| Remember that BCN3D Cura will not receive new software updates. Please download BCN3D Stratos our new slicer for improved performance. |
BCN3D Stratos is a free and easy-to-use 3D printing software that prepares your model for 3D printing. It provides an intuitive user interface and an improved workflow, both for newcomers and expert users. It is based on the renowned Open Source slicer and is compatible with all BCN3D 3D printers.

To learn more about it go to our BCN3D Stratos site where you can:
IDEX Mode

The IDEX functionality allows you to choose the printing mode and which extruders will be active during the printing process.
Dual Mode Both extruders will be enabled to print the part. This printing mode is used when it is necessary to use different materials or colors to build the model.
Single Mode Only one extruder is enabled to print the model, in this way all the parameters are configured to print with the material that you have loaded in this extruder.
The material selected in the extruder that doesn't print doesn't match with the loaded in the printer, and therefore cannot be printed. The selected materials match those loaded in the printer but print failures appear because print parameters are shared between extruders.
Duplication Mode Both extruders will print symmetrically to build twice as many models at once. It is important that the extruders have the same material and hotend loaded in order to use this mode. The printing capacity is doubled but the available build plate will be reduced by half. |
Mirror Mode It is similar to the duplication mode, although in this case one of the extruders will move as a reflection of the other to build the model and its mirror copy. It is important that the extruders have the same material and hotend loaded in order to use this mode. The printing capacity is doubled but the available build plate is reduced to less than half the original size. |
