How to print with BCN3D PET-G
An easily printable material with good mechanical, chemical and thermal properties. In this article, you will find the basic information to print with BCN3D PET-G
What is PET-G
![]() |
PET-G (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified) is a polyester thermoplastic characterized by a good balance of tensile strength and elongation at break. Its high resistance to water and chemicals makes it the material of choice for water-tight containers and protective cases. |
PET-G is a versatile technical material, as easy to print as PLA, but with an improved balance of mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties.

Build plate adhesion
|
Apply a fine and even layer of Magigoo glue to achieve the desired adhesion between the 3D printed part and the printing surface of your 3D printer in order to keep the part fixed. It is best to apply Magigoo when the printing bed is cool. |

Recommendations
Plastics absorb moisture from the air. When the material is not in use, it is recommended to keep the PET-G spools in a box or airtight container with desiccant to keep them dry.
PET-G emits low levels of gasses and particles when printed. We recommend printing it in a well-ventilated area to ensure a healthy environment.
