Printing issues
My printer does not extrude. What should I do?
Most likely this issue can be solved by unclogging the hotend.
Here is how to: https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/unclog-hotend-bcn3d
How to deal with the problem of warping during printing?
If you are having issues with adhesion you can check:
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/first-layer
What if an error occurs when printing?
The first step to do when this occurs is to stop the printing process. There could be different sources to cause the error. BCN3D website has articles to each one of these errors for the client to be able to find a solution:

How do I remove my object from the printer?
To learn how to safely remove the prints you can check this article:https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/remove-prints-bcn3d
Hardware issues:
Where can I find instructions for the XY calibration procedure?
The X|Y calibration is one of the key processes to achieve nice print jobs. If you want to know how to get your printer perfectly calibrated check these videos:
-Sigma series: https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/hotend-calibration-bcn3d-sigma-series

Where to find the serial number?
Here in this article you can find the serial number for each printer:
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/serial-number
What type of printer does BCN3D have?
BCN3D counts with:
-The Workbench series: this series has been designed to manufacture solid and resistant functional parts with quality and precision, bringing industrial power to your workbench or industrial environment.
-The Desktop series: this series is designed to provide maximum productivity and ease of use with the highest quality.

Filaments questions.
How to insert filament?
To load the filament, follow the steps explained in this video
-Sigma series
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/load-filament-bcn3d-sigma-series
-Epsilon series
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/load-filament-bcn3d-epsilon-series
To assure a better maintenance of the filament we would suggest getting the Smart Cabinet. It maintains the filaments in optimal conditions and the printer will perform better, thanks to the controlled humidity on the filament.
The process is similar in both SIGMA series and EPSILON series.
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/load-filament-bcn3d-smart-cabinet
How to storage the filament
The optimal conditions to store your filaments to ensure good prints is to store them in a dry and cool place out of direct sunlight, ideally between 10 ºC and 30 ºC. smart cabinet
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/handle-storage-filament-bcn3d
Can I change filament while printing?
Yes. If you run out of filament and you have the FRS activated, the printer will pause printing when the material runs out and will request to change it. If you wish to do it before the material runs out, you can pause the printing and select the option to change material.
General questions
What are the dimensions of the printer?
Here are the different dimensions of each printer:
-Epsilon w50: 690mm (W) x 530mm (D) x900mm (H)
-Epsilon w70: 530mm x 690mm x 900mm
-Sigma D25: 690mm (W) x 530mm (D) x 750mm (H)
-Sigma R2017: 465mm x 440mm x 680mm
-Sigmax: 665mm x 440mm x 680mm
Is the machine noisy when working?
Yes, there is the “work noise”(49dB) which is totally fine. However if you find a strong noise you should contact support.
Here is the link to do it: https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/kb-tickets/new
Does this machine support two-color printing?
Yes, all of the printers here at BCN3D support two-color printing, thanks to the IDEX technology. The IDEX extrusion system is the only one capable of printing with the two heads independently. This system allows the duplication and mirror printing modes capable of printing simultaneity. Double printing capacity means double productivity with the same investment. If you wish to know more click here: https://www.bcn3d.com/technology/
How is the power consumption of the machine?
-Sigmax: 480W
-Epsilon: 840W
-Sigmax R19: 370W
How long does it take to print something?
It all varies on the size of the piece, the hotends and other factors. In this article we explain how to save time in the printing process.
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/speed-up-bcn3d
Do I need to turn the machine off after printing?
if you do it be careful not turning it off if the coolers are on and the filament loaded.
How much maintenance is required?
Each printer has its own plan of maintenance, you can check each individually here:
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/maintenance-guide-bcn3d-epsilon-series
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/maintenance-plan-bcn3d-sigma-series
Are colors available?
Yes, Certain materials have different colors availity.
Tough PLA: Four different colors.
PLA: Twelve different colors.
PET-G: only two colors.
TPU: Only two colors.

Is my design file kept confidential?
Yes if you upload the files through the cloud, they will be confidential. You can decide with whom to share or who has access.
Printing head questions
How to deal with the printing head not discharging?
Most likely you are experiencing a clog on the hotend. Here is a link to help unclog it: https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/unclog-hotend-bcn3d
Or you can try to unload it manually and here is how:
Sigma series: https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/manually-unload-filament-bcn3d-sigma-series
Epsilon series:
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/manually-unload-filament-bcn3d-epsilon-series
If the problem persists, it is better to contact the BCN3D support team.
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/kb-tickets/new
Can the printing head be moved manually?
We do not recommend it.
What is the printing head diameter?
The BCN3D printers allow printing with different hotend sizes: 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 mm.
What is the highest printing head temperature?
Sigma X series: 270 ºC
Epsilon series: 300º
Sigma: 270 ºC
3D printing questions
What objects can you 3D print?
It all depends on your likes and needs but you can print an infinite variety of useful or fun objects. If you wish to have a look here is a link where you can get inspiration from.

How do I smooth 3D prints?
It depends a lot on the materials, for example for ABS the most recommended is acetone but for PET and PLAT it is more recommended to sand the piece. To know more click: https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/postprocess
Is there a limitation to what shapes you can 3D print?
Yes. You will have to consider the materials first. Second, your design. Most 3D prints have to have flat parts, and cannot have big overhangs due to the machine not being able to print large hanging parts without support material.

Can I replace a broken machine with a 3D printed part?
BCN3D printers have few printed parts if a component has broken it is better to contact the support team:
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/kb-tickets/new
How do I slice a 3D model?
BCN3D printers use BCN3D Cura as a slicing software. You can learn more about it here:
https://support.bcn3d.com/knowledge/bcn3d-cura
What file formats are compatible with 3D printers?
The GCODE. It is a set of machine instructions that the printer understands to make or to build the parts. If you wish to know more click here: https://www.bcn3d.com/3d-printer-g-code-demands-basic-guide/
