After long term use, or if you have experienced under extrusion issues, it’s possible that there are bits of filament on the bondtech gears, which could cause issues when loading filament or printing.

If you have an air compressor, compressed air can or a soft brush you can clean the bondtech extruders externally.

If you need to do an in-depth cleaning of the bondtech extruders, disassemble them and proceed with the cleaning and reassembly, as explained in this video.
