What is PAHT CF15?

PAHT CF15 (High Temperature Polyamide carbon fiber reinforced) is able to work continuously at temperatures up to 150ºC but can briefly withstand temperatures up to 180ºC.

In comparison to a standard PA, the 15% carbon fiber reinforcement creates stiffer material thus opening new fields for the printing of demanding applications.

To use PAHT CF15 filament you will have to install the hotend X. Printing PAHT CF15 and PP GF30 with a standard nozzle will seriously damage the hotend.

Extruder temperature 260ºC - 280ºC
Build plate temperature 95ºC
Speed 40-60 mm/s
Retraction speed  40 mm/s

Cooling fan 0%
Minimum layer height 0.15-0.4 mm

  • Note:  BCN3D Lab develops specific configurations for each material and printer. Make sure to use the last BCN3D Stratos version.

Build plate adhesion

PAHT CF15 has almost no warping. However, is recommended to use Magigoo Original when printing this filament, you will get optimal results using a clean printing surface with a thin layer of adhesive.

Recommendations

Plastics absorb moisture from the air. When the material is not in use for extended periods of time,  it is recommended to keep the PAHT CF15 spools in a box or airtight container with desiccant to keep them dry.

PAHT CF15 emits low levels of fumes and particles when printed. We recommend printing it in a well-ventilated area to ensure a healthy environment.
